Partner

Born and raised in Sacramento, Terri Masserman is a partner at Masserman & Ducey.  Terri has practiced law for over 31 years representing clients primarily in the insurance defense setting, with an emphasis on premises liability, automobile and motorcycle negligence, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, and products liability.  In addition, she has represented a broad variety of corporate and individual clients in business litigation, medical malpractice, employment, and intellectual property cases.

Terri moved to Los Angeles in 1980 to attend the University of California at Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  She was deeply involved in Bruin athletics and was a cheerleader at UCLA for men’s football and basketball.  Terri graduated from Southwestern Law School in 1989 where she served on the Moot Court Board of Governors and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Criminal Procedure.  Terri became a member of the State Bar of California in 1990 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California.

Terri’s focus is always directed to her clients’ objectives, the efficient administration of litigation, and a fundamental respect for the judicial system.  She is goal oriented and adept at applying her legal knowledge and experience to the difficult matters with which her clients have entrusted her.  By her close attention to detail and immediate recognition of the evidentiary matters that can fundamentally impact a case, Terri’s skill in preparing for and presenting a case at trial is unmatched.  She remains guided by the fundamental precept that clients need to be protected and represented with passion, intelligence, and compassion, and with an underlying sense of respect for the Rule of Law.

Outside of work Terri is a devoted mother and has a devout appreciation for her family and friends, and the opportunities and values provided by her parents.  She is an animal lover and finds every opportunity to enjoy nature and the outdoors.  A successful athlete growing up and for as long as she can remember, Terri has been inspired by Coach John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success.
