Jim Tran is an associate at Masserman & Ducey.  His areas of concentration are in insurance defense, including premises liability, personal injury and landlord-tenant habitability cases.

Jim attended Cal Poly Pomona where he received his Bachelor’s degree in communication studies and gained experience in the entertainment industry as a creative assistant, camera operator, writer, film editor, and performer.  A commitment as a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer drove him into the field of law.  He received his juris doctorate degree from Whittier College in 2010 with concentrations in trial and appellate practice and criminal law. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2010 and to the Bar of the Central District of California in 2011. As a student he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board and he also completed pro bono work.  Prior to joining Masserman & Ducey, Jim was a solo practitioner in which he practiced in a wide variety of areas, and associated with other civil litigation firms.

Jim volunteers in his spare time at his local church where he is an active member.
